Our first blog entry. Don't be alarmed - this will not lead to worse afflictions, like tweeting. We plan to keep our place in the new world of social media relatively constrained. Our modest hope is that you find future postings to be more relevant and useful than our tweeting of upcoming dinner plans.
The blog will serve as another way for us to share information that is current, topical, and relevant within the world of personal finance. Since our work requires that we read a lot, a secondary role of this blog will be to share with you links to articles and commentaries that we find to be particularly well written and pertinent.
Today, however, we simply want to introduce our new website and the blog in front of you. One feature of this new website that we are particularly excited about is the new Client Vault, where clients will have access to financial information, store documents, and a more secure means to communicate information back and forth with Conlon Dart staff. We will share more information on this new tool over the next month, but feel free to call us if you would like to learn how to get started in the interim.
In addition to the secure client vault, we are also excited to roll out a new video feature, which we will use in many ways - from introducing prospective clients to our firm, to commentaries on financial markets or specific investment ideas. Today, we offer our initial video, presented by Stephen Dart, where he discusses emerging market investing. The video can be accessed from the home page tab.
As for this blog, we will weigh in on a weekly basis going forward. Stay tuned.
